I learn, you learn, he learns...
Can learning be a creative act? by Mariana Carranza and Aprille Glover

Abstract: I Learn, You Learn, He Learns... is evolutionary art project that explores learning as a creative process rather than a final result by teaching an AI agent to dance. The goal is not to so much to teach dancing skills as to make the process of machine learning transparent to those without specialized training. A simple art game collects motion data. This data will be collected so that it can be both compared visually and understood algorithmically. In the beginning the Agent will not be able to dance at all. Using both available open source tools such as Processing, and developing a new open source database and machine learning algorithms, the project seeks to create a creative accessible environment in which everyone is free to explore the collected motion data, create new algorithms and understand the process of learning in evolving ways. This paper discusses both the means and implications of learning as a creative act.
